LEAD WITH ALL YOUR RESOURCES
/The Winter issue of The MIT Sloan Management Review is focused on “Making the Most of What You Have.” If I didn’t know better, I’d think I’d convinced them of this important point with my recently published article, Lead with Resources (pdf), for Leadership Excellence.
In both instances we’re talking about the value of leading with all your resources, rather than just focusing on those for which you are an expert. While leadership gurus may focus on people, technology gurus may focus on technology, and organizational gurus may focus on practices. Learning to mix all three is key in our resource constrained world.
