By this time tomorrow I’ll be deep into the world of aviation innovation, “ maker ” mentality, and the camaraderie that comes from a deep shared interests and experiences. I’m in route to AirVenture 2013 in Oshkosh Wisconsin. This is my third trip. In 2009 I was there to study innovation. In 2010 I was also a student pilot. This is my first trip with pilot’s license in hand and 150 hours in the air. Over the years I’ve gotten to know some of the Experimental Aviation Association officials (hosts of AirVenture) and founders of electric aviation efforts.
