Teasers from Day 1: Enterprise 2.0
Short updates from Day 1 of the 2011 Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Santa Clara (I promise in-depth analysis after it all sinks in):
- Don Tapscott raised the bar for what we need to do. He gave examples from banking and healthcare (to name a couple) showing that you can't fix a company without fixing the industry. One of the reasons I love this conference is that systems approaches to change are central to many (most?) of the speakers.
- Paul Green of theThe Self-Management Institute at The Morning Star Company mentions The Colleague Letter of Understanding: Replacing Jobs with Commitments
- The Management 2.0 Hackathon is open! Polly Lebarre announced a partnership with The Management Innovation Exchange (aka @hackmanagement), Saba, and The Enterprise 2.0 Conference. Goal: Reinvent management. I had the pleasure of being part of the pilot and look forward to this thoughtful and energetic extension. We can do this.
